ACONITUM FEROX

As prescribed by the physician.

• Aconitum ferox, one of the most important medicinal plants belonging from Ranunculaceae family in the homoeopathic materia medica, acts profoundly on the nervous, respiratory, and circulatory systems. In potentized form, it offers vital support in intense neuralgias, respiratory paralysis, sudden systemic collapses, and icy cold states with burning sensations. It is especially helpful in cases marked by fear, restlessness, dyspnoea, and violent burning—physically or mentally. The medicine is suitable for individuals suffering from numbness, paresthesia, or formication that alternates or travels, and for those with strong reactions to temperature changes. Common Names: Bikh, Ativisha, Indian Aconite SBL’s Aconitum ferox can be helpful in the following conditions: Nervous System & Mental Symptoms • Aconitum ferox supports cases of excessive mental activity with rapid thoughts and heightened memory. • Helps relieve nervous excitement alternating with intolerance of distress, anxiety, and confusion. • Aids when mental dullness prevents even simple tasks; patient may swing between joking and distress. Oral & Throat Complaints • Treats violent burning pain in the mouth and pharynx, worse from eating. • Aids when the tongue feels numb, leathery, or furred with yellowish-white coating. • Burning is often relieved temporarily by cold water. Gastrointestinal Issues • Aids in managing stomach pain with pressure and drawing sensations radiating across the abdomen. • Supports relief of warm or dull internal pain in the epigastrium, especially sensitive to touch. • Useful for dark, loose stools and abdominal rumbling or gurgling. Urinary Tract • Supports cases with frequent and profuse urination—often associated with systemic disturbances. Respiratory Distress & Cheyne-Stokes Breathing • Helps in cases of increasing dyspnoea and suffocative fear, where the patient is compelled to sit up. • Assists in regulating abnormal breathing patterns with anxiety and respiratory weakness. Burning & Cold Fever States • Aids in managing icy cold body sensations unrelieved by external warmth—patient seeks heat but is worsened by it. • Burning heat may feel like hot wires penetrating the skin; profuse sweat often brings relief. Neuromuscular Weakness & Numbness • Aconitum ferox relieves numbness and formication—especially where it shifts location or worsens with movement. • Supports recovery from weakness and trembling in limbs, especially lower limbs with a tottering gait. • Patient may feel as if wearing gloves or walking on padded surfaces.
