ARANEA DIADEMA

As prescribed by the physician.

• Aranea diadema is a valuable and important homoeopathic medicine prepared from the Cross Spider (Papal-Cross Spider), belonging to the Arachnida order. All spider-derived medicines are known for their deep action on the nervous system, and Aranea diadema is especially noted for its marked periodicity, intense coldness, and abnormal sensitivity to dampness. This medicine is particularly suited to individuals with a hydrogenoid constitution, who are extremely sensitive to cold, wet environments, and prone to recurring chilliness, bone pains, and neuralgic conditions. It is beneficial in cases where coldness pervades the entire body, unrelieved by warmth, and is often linked with neuralgia, spleen enlargement, and menstrual disturbances. Common Name: Cross Spider (Papal-Cross Spider) SBL’s Aranea diadema can be helpful in the following conditions: Periodicity, Coldness, and Damp Sensitivity • Indicated in conditions with distinct periodic return of symptoms, particularly coldness and pain. • Coldness to the very bones; not relieved by heat or covering. • Aids in heat and flickering in eyes with sudden violent toothache especially while lying down. • Suited to hydrogenoid constitutions with intolerance to lakes, rivers, and damp climates. Nervous System and Neuralgia • Aranea diadema helps in trigeminal neuralgia on the right side, with pain radiating inward. • Lumbo-abdominal neuralgia and intercostal nerve pain radiating from extremities to spine. • Confusion in the head, better from smoking in open air. • Restlessness during sleep with sensation of swollen, heavy hands and forearms. Irregular Menses and Neuralgic Pain • Menses too early and excessively copious. • Abdominal distention with heaviness in the pelvis. • Supports in associated neuralgic pain and lower abdominal discomfort. Bleeding from Lungs and Chest Pain • Bright red hemorrhage from lungs. • Indicated in intercostal neuralgia with sharp, radiating chest pain. • Helpful where lung involvement appears with vascular irritation. Cramps and Enlarged Spleen • Cramps in stomach after eating even a little food. • Epigastric region painful to pressure. • Colicky pain returning at the same hours daily. • Enlargement of the spleen and sensation of a heavy stone in the lower abdomen. • Diarrhea accompanied by abdominal heaviness and neuralgic features. Extremities and Bone Pain • Pain in long bones, especially during fever. • Bone-pains in arms and legs; aching in the heel (os calcis). • Sensation of numbness and limbs “falling asleep.” • Hands and legs feel enlarged, heavy, and asleep at night. Sleep Disturbance • Restlessness with frequent waking due to sensation of swelling in hands and forearms. • Heavy, numb sensation preventing restful sleep. Fever and Constitutional State • Chilliness and fever with bone pain and abdominal heaviness. • Marked periodicity in fever—same time daily. • Always worse in rainy weather and during damp conditions.
