BROMIUM

As prescribed by the physician.

• Bromium, prepared from elemental bromine of Halogens group, primarily affects the respiratory system, glands, and skin. It is particularly suited for scrofulous children of the blond type with enlarged glands such as the parotids and thyroid (goitre). This medicine aids in spasmodic respiratory complaints, laryngeal inflammation, and glandular indurations that tend to harden but seldom suppurate. Bromium is indicated in individuals who are aggravated by overheating and have a tendency toward weakness, profuse sweats, and excoriating discharges. Common Name: Bromine SBL’s Bromium can be helpful in the following conditions: • Respiratory Discomfort Aids in whooping cough, especially when used persistently for about ten days. Manages dry cough with hoarseness and burning pain behind the sternum. Relieves spasmodic cough with rattling mucus in the larynx, accompanied by a sense of suffocation. Addresses hoarseness, croup after fever subsides, and laryngeal diphtheria (where the membrane starts in the larynx and spreads upward). Helpful in asthma, especially with difficulty inhaling; better at sea, worse on land. Alleviates fibrinous bronchitis and sensations of smoke in the bronchial tubes. Supports hypertrophy of the heart in cases linked to overexertion or gymnastics. Relieves chest constriction and violent cramping, with upward-radiating pain and cold sensation on inspiration. • Glandular and Scrofulous Affections Aids in enlarged glands, especially parotids, ovaries, testicles, and goitre (hard, stony glands). Useful in left-sided mumps and hard thyroid swelling. Helps in breast tumors with sharp, stitching pain, worse on pressure and on the left side. Addresses indurated testicles with pain worse from slight jar. Manages swelling of ovaries and early, profuse menses with membranous shreds. • Skin Conditions Relieves acne, pimples, and pustules, particularly on the arms and face. Helps with boils and gangrene in glandular and lower jaw regions. Supports conditions with indurated glands in the throat and jaw. • Delusions and Restlessness Manages delusions, such as the feeling that someone is looking over the shoulder. Quarrelsome disposition; mentally restless and anxious. • Headache and Painful Eyes Bromium relieves megrim (left-sided migraine), worse from stooping and after drinking milk. Addresses sharp pain through eyes and headache from sun exposure or quick movements. Dizziness when crossing a stream of water. • Coryza and Raw Throat Coryza with corrosive nasal soreness, and right nostril obstruction. Helps with nosebleeds that relieve chest symptoms. Manages tickling, smarting, cobweb-like sensations, and pressure at the root of the nose. Fan-like motion of alae nasi, similar to Lycopodium. Relieves rawness of throat in the evening, hoarseness from overheating, and dilated blood vessels in tonsils. • Stomach Pain and Abdomen Distention Alleviates sharp burning from tongue to stomach and gastric pressure as from a stone. Gastralgia improved by eating. Relieves tympanic distention of the abdomen. Helps with painful hemorrhoids with black stools. • Swollen Testes Reduces swelling of testicles and manages induration with pain from slight movement. Useful in glandular enlargement and reproductive gland affections. • Profuse Menses and Breast Tumor Regulates early and profuse menstruation with membranous shreds. Helps with low spirits before menses. Relieves breast tumors and ovarian swelling with characteristic stitching and shooting pains. • Sleep Disturbances Bromium manages disturbed sleep, filled with fantasy, dreams, and anguish. Helps with jerking, starting during sleep, and difficulty falling asleep. Relieves morning fatigue, trembling, and weakness upon waking.
