CALCAREA SULPHURICA

As prescribed by the physician.

• Calcarea sulphurica is a key valuable and homoeopathic medicine prepared from Calcium Sulphate, especially valued for its ability to aid in suppurative conditions, chronic discharges, and slow-healing wounds. It plays a vital role in the later stages of inflammation when pus has formed or is persistently draining, making it a powerful agent in cases involving eczema, tonsillar abscess, fistula, and lung or skin infections. Its action centers on cleansing, resolution, and prevention of recurrence in conditions marked by yellow, thick, or lumpy secretions. This medicine also shows a strong affinity for the skin, glands, respiratory tract, and digestive system, making it ideal for both acute and chronic states involving suppuration and chronic glandular swellings. Common Name: Sulphate of Lime / Plaster of Paris SBL’s Calcarea sulphurica can be helpful in the following conditions: Skin Eruptions and Swollen Glands Beneficial in eczema, especially dry forms in children and unhealthy, pus-discharging skin conditions. Used for torpid glandular swellings, cystic tumors, and fibroids where pus formation or chronic inflammation exists. Assists cuts, wounds, and bruises that discharge pus and fail to heal properly. Addresses herpetic eruptions, yellow purulent crusts, and scabby skin affections. Aids pimples, pustules, and matterless scalp eruptions that bleed on scratching. Crusted Scalp Calcarea sulphurica is indicated in scald-head of children, particularly with purulent yellow discharge or crust formation on the scalp. Eyes and Ears Inflammation Benefits eye inflammation with thick, yellow matter or corneal clouding; useful in ophthalmia neonatorum. Helpful in middle ear infections with foul-smelling, pus-like discharge, sometimes mixed with blood. Clears pimples around ears and associated ear discomfort. Nasal Congestion and Sore Throat Used in chronic colds and catarrhal states with yellowish, blood-tinged nasal discharge and posterior nasal congestion. Alleviates sore nostrils and purulent nasal secretions, especially when one-sided. Excellent for suppurative tonsillitis, especially once abscesses start discharging. Soothes ulcerated sore throats with yellow pus discharge. Sore Lips Indicated for sore inner lips, flabby tongue with a yellow base, and soapy, sour, acrid taste. Gastrointestinal and Rectal Discomfort Aids purulent, slimy diarrhea, sometimes mixed with blood. Beneficial in diarrhea due to diet (e.g., maple sugar) or weather changes. Used in painful anal abscesses, especially in fistula cases, with discharging pus. Pelvic Pain Relieves pain in the liver region and right pelvic side, followed by weakness, nausea, and gastric discomfort. Delayed Menses Indicated in delayed, prolonged menses with accompanying headaches, twitching, and general exhaustion. Respiratory Suppuration Calcarea sulphurica is useful in cough with purulent, offensive expectoration and hectic fever. Helps in empyema and other suppurative lung conditions with sanious or pus-filled sputa. Clears thick, lumpy, yellow-white catarrhal secretions from chest and nasal tract. Burning of Extremities Relieves burning and itching in the soles of the feet, often associated with systemic inflammation or chronic infection. Fever Excellent medicine for hectic fever from chronic suppuration, especially with persistent cough and burning soles.
