LAPIS ALBUS

As prescribed by the physician.

• Lapis albus is a significant and multifaceted homoeopathic medicine prepared from Silico-fluoride of calcium (Calcarea silico-fluorata), a natural compound derived from gneiss formations discovered in the mineral springs of Gastein, Austria. These springs, flowing into the Achen valley—an area known for the prevalence of goître and cretinism—inspired the name "Lapis albus" (White Stone). Lapis albus is known for its strong action on the glands, lymphatic system, and connective tissues, making it especially useful in conditions like tumors, glandular swellings, fibromas, goître, scrofula, and early-stage cancers. It is well-suited for scrofulous constitutions, with an affinity for chronic glandular enlargements, uterine affections, and degenerative tissue changes. Common Name: White Stone SBL’s Lapis albus can be helpful in the following conditions: Glandular Swellings & Tumors • Highly beneficial in enlargement of glands, especially when the swelling is elastic rather than stony hard. • Lapis albus is useful in cervical gland enlargements, especially when associated with ravenous appetite and underlying scrofulous tendencies. • Lipoma, fibroma, and sarcoma, especially when arising in glandular or fibrous tissue. • Glandular tumors occurring in areas where glands are not typically found. • Acts upon glandular affections linked with scrofulosis, particularly scirrhus and tuberculosis before ulceration sets in. Goître, Scrofula & Cretinism • Goître, especially in regions endemic to cretinism. • Supports in cretinism and scrofulous constitutions with enlarged glands and poor development. • Scrofulous abscesses, sores, and indurated glandular swellings of the neck and body. Female Reproductive Disorders • Valuable in uterine carcinoma, with burning, stinging, and shooting pains in the uterus and breasts. • Alleviates dysmenorrhœa with intense pain preceding menstruation, often so severe the patient faints or swoons. • Supports in cases of pruritus vulvæ and uterine irritability associated with glandular dysfunction. • Lapis albus is indicated in painful menses where sudden onset of severe pain leads to syncope. Facial and Skin Lesions • Helpful in epithelioma of the lip, where crusts slough off leaving a raw, exposed surface. • Aids in tumors of the cheek or lip, with burning, stinging pains intense enough to cause extreme restlessness or physical distress. • Helps in pre-ulcerative stages of carcinoma affecting the face or skin. Headache and Digestive Irregularity • Sick headaches associated with glandular or lymphatic affections. • Lapis albus may assist in regulating abnormal appetite, especially in patients with glandular swellings who develop ravenous hunger.
