NATRUM IODATUM

As prescribed by the physician.

• Natrum iodatum is a valuable homoeopathic medicine prepared from Sodium Iodide (NaI), known for its marked action on the respiratory tract, cardiac system, and glandular structures. Though not extensively proven, it has gained therapeutic recognition, particularly in conditions involving chronic inflammation, catarrhal states, tertiary syphilis, and scrofulous affections. It is notably useful in managing persistent coryza, hay-fever, pharyngitis, and chronic laryngitis, and has found special use in cardiac cases and asthmatic conditions due to its desensitizing and mucosal-regulating effects. Common Name English: Sodium Iodide SBL’s Natrum iodatum can be helpful in the following conditions: Respiratory Tract and Throat Disorders Natrum iodatum aids in chronic coryza, especially in allergic individuals and hay-fever sufferers. Supports relief in hay-asthma, often used as part of nasal sprays and desensitization therapy. Manages chronic laryngitis, with persistent irritation and hoarseness. Assists in cases of pharyngitis, particularly of a chronic or recurring nature. Helpful in catarrhal states, with mucus secretion and nasal obstruction. Cardiovascular Conditions Widely used in heart conditions by French practitioners; especially in cardiac weakness. Supports the circulatory system in cases with glandular swellings or atherosclerotic tendencies. Assists where iodine-related metabolic disturbance affects the heart, improving circulation and cardiac tone. Respiratory and Inflammatory Diseases Assists in bronchial irritation and chronic bronchitis, especially when mucus and cough are present. Used in pneumonia, particularly when complicated by sluggish lymphatic drainage or chronicity. Manages asthmatic tendencies, especially those related to environmental allergens. Glandular and Constitutional Disorders Natrum iodatum is useful in scrofulous diathesis, especially with swollen glands and sluggish constitution. Aids in cases of tertiary syphilis, particularly with lingering mucosal and glandular involvement. Supports detoxification and glandular activity, especially where iodine responsiveness is noted.
