PAREIRA BRAVA

As prescribed by the physician.

• Pareira brava is a powerful and versatile homoeopathic medicine prepared from the fresh root of Cessampelos pareira (Velvet Leaf), a plant belonging to the Menispermaceæ family. It exerts a marked influence on the urinary system, particularly the bladder, kidneys, and urethra, and is known for its ability to relieve severe urinary distress, renal colic, and prostate-related afflictions. This medicine is especially suited to cases marked by excruciating pain during urination, dribbling urine, and the need to assume unusual postures to void. It also offers support in male sexual dysfunction, gonorrhea, oedema of the limbs, and respiratory affections due to mucous obstruction. Common Name English: Virgin Vine / Velvet Leaf SBL’s Pareira brava can be helpful in the following conditions: Urinary Disorders & Kidney Pain Pareira brava manages in renal colic with excruciating pain radiating from the left kidney to the groin along the ureter. Offers relief in bruised pain across the kidney region, aggravated during urination. Supports difficult micturition with straining, yielding only drops, despite the sensation of needing to void large quantities. Indicated for slimy, mucous-laden urine with a strong ammonia odor or black, bloody urine with a brick-dust sediment. Pareira brava alleviates dribbling of urine after urination, retention of urine, and sensations of distension and pain in the bladder. Especially useful when urine can only be passed while kneeling with the head pressed to the floor — a hallmark symptom of this medicine. Relieves tearing, burning pains in the glans penis during urination, with perspiration and great discomfort. Prostate & Urethral Issue Manages urethritis with associated prostatic enlargement and painful urination. Helpful in prostate affections with retention of urine, extended pains down thighs and oedema of lower limbs. Soothes violent itching along the entire urethra, with scalding and distress following urination. Used in cases of urethral discharge of thick, viscid white mucus. Male Sexual Health Indicated for gonorrhoea with urethral and prostatic complications. Manages painful drawing-up of the left testicle and sharp pains radiating to thighs and even into toes. Beneficial for post-confinement urinary complications and paroxysm of violent pain with strangury, especially when urination is only possible on hands and knees. Bladder & Mucosal Conditions Addresses mucous membrane thickening in the bladder, with signs of almost cartilaginous induration. Alleviates frequent bladder spasms, violent bladder pain, and mucous urine of deep red color. Especially helpful for those experiencing urinary difficulty primarily between 3 to 6 a.m. Lower Limb Oedema Treats dropsical swelling in the feet and legs associated with urinary obstruction and renal weakness. Pareira brava eases neuralgic pain in the anterior crural region and pain extending from bladder to lower limbs during urination attempts. Respiratory Symptoms Aids in bronchial congestion marked by viscous matter obstructing airways especially the bronchi.
