SCORPION

As prescribed by the physician.

• Scorpion is a homoeopathic medicine prepared from the living scorpion source from Scorpionida family, known for its toxic sting and intense systemic effects. The medicine acts deeply on the nervous and muscular systems, with symptoms modeled on the effects of scorpion envenomation. While it has not been extensively proved in attenuations, clinical experiences and toxinological observations provide a basis for its use in cases marked by acute localized pain, swelling, neurological disturbance, and constitutional collapse. Particularly suited to conditions resembling tetanus, strabismus, and excessive salivation, this medicine finds its place in neuro-muscular disorders with sudden onset and violent manifestations, especially where symptoms progress in stages. Common Name English: Scorpion SBL’s Scorpion can be helpful in the following conditions: Nervous System and Muscular Disorders Scorpion is indicated in tetanus-like conditions marked by trismus, rigidity, or lockjaw. Sudden strabismus with dilated pupils, especially following insect bites or systemic toxemia. For restlessness, sleepiness, and neurological prostration after toxic exposures. Head, Face, and Eyes Dilated pupils and slight strabismus, often occurring in the post-bite or toxic phase. Trismus of facial muscles and jaw stiffness, with progression toward tetanic states. May support treatment in sudden neuromotor facial dysfunctions linked to systemic toxicity. Mouth and Salivary Glands Scorpion noted for abundant salivation, often developing in the later phases of systemic symptoms. Useful where drooling or excessive secretion appears alongside muscular rigidity or weakness. Respiratory and Nasal Complaints Characterized by frequent sneezing, often part of the early systemic response to envenomation. Abdomen and Digestive System Meteorism and abdominal bloating in later stages; may reflect autonomic or paralytic gut effects post-toxic insult. Skin and General Reactions Bitten or stung area becomes extremely swollen, with intense, violent pain lasting 1–3 days. Sensation of heat and pain at the affected site, followed by systemic symptoms such as prostration, salivation, and trismus. Marked by acute localized pain and reduced temperature in the affected part.
