SINAPIS ALBA

As prescribed by the physician.

• Sinapis alba (White Mustard) is a homoeopathic preparation made from the seeds of Brassica alba, a close botanical relative of Sinapis nigra. Belonging from Cruciferæ family, Sinapis alba has a distinctive affinity for the digestive system, rectum, and mucous membranes, showing marked effects in cases of gastritis, gastric ulcers, flatulence, and irritation of the anus and throat. It’s also useful in pregnancy-related nausea, heartburn, and worm infestations, especially in children. Common Names Hindi: Safed Sarson English: White Mustard SBL’s Sinapis alba can be helpful in the following conditions: Head & Mental Symptoms Sinapis alba is beneficial for those experiencing mental distraction while reading, needing effort to stay focused. For dull headaches and heaviness in the forehead, worse in warm rooms and better in open air. Relieves feelings of a hollow head, rush of blood, and intoxicated heaviness, especially in the frontal region. Eyes & Mouth Inlammation Soothes sudden warmth and stitching pain in the eyes with reflex tearing. Reduces thick yellow coating on the tongue (esp. mornings) and frothy, salty saliva, often seen with nausea. Useful in ulcers and inflammation of the mouth, including soreness linked to pregnancy or lactation. Throat & Esophagus Discomfort Sinapis alba eases scraping in the throat that causes constant clearing. For burning sensations in the pharynx and esophagus, often from gastric acid reflux or heartburn. Sensation of a foreign body in the throat, worsened by hard swallowing and sometimes alternating with anal discomfort. Stomach & Digestive System Ideal for heartburn with intense thirst and frequent tasteless eructations. Reduces nausea, retching, and vomiting of mucus or bile, often accompanied by burning pain in the upper abdomen and chest. Notable in cases of gastric ulcers with pressure and bruised pain in the pit of the stomach—pain so intense it may take the breath away. Abdomen & Flatulence Helps with griping colic, gurgling, and heaviness in the abdomen. Addresses offensive or odorless flatulence and a sense of fullness as though after overeating. Stool & Anus Complaints One of the top medicines for anal irritation, especially when there's a feeling of a hard mass in or near the anus that won’t pass. Indicated in burning, stitching, itching, and biting sensations in the anus—often after eating or during bowel movements. Useful in threadworm infestations, especially in children, with stools covered in mucus and unsatisfactory evacuation. Stool may be blackish, greenish, or yellow-grey, often with mucus and dead worms. Urinary Discomfort For urine with sediment, especially white, chalky, or reddish granules like sand or frog-spawn. Can help when there’s a thick, fatty film or cloudiness that remains suspended in the urine. Involuntary Emissions May help regulate involuntary emissions occurring without any sexual dreams. Chest & Breathing Difficulties Sinapis alba supports breathing difficulties caused by a sense of chest oppression, with an urge to breathe deeply. Burning sensations may be felt beneath the sternum. Back & Limbs Pain Soothes lower back pain, especially in the sacral or coccyx region, often paired with a need to pass stool. For heaviness in the legs, especially in those feeling tired or sluggish. Sleep & Vivid Dreams Sinapis alba can help people who sleep easily during the afternoon, especially after meals. Known for vivid, unusual dreams, often of death, dead people, or adventurous foreign places. Fever & Circulation For people who feel chilled on movement, with cold hands and feet, and gassy eructations. Pulse tends to feel full and hard. Tendency to perspire easily, especially with digestive upset or chills.
