STICTA PULMONARIA

As prescribed by the physician.

• Sticta pulmonaria is a versatile homoeopathic medicine primarily known for its usefulness in addressing catarrhal conditions, especially involving the respiratory tract, as well as nervous and rheumatic disturbances. It is particularly suitable in early stages of colds, influenza, hay fever, and conditions marked by severe dryness of mucous membranes, persistent dry coughs, and mental restlessness. The medicine is also helpful in rheumatism with joint inflammation, chorea-like symptoms, and headaches associated with catarrh or sinus congestion. Common Name English: Lungwort SBL’s Sticta pulmonaria can be helpful in the following conditions: • Respiratory Tract Infections & Dry Cough Sticta pulmonaria is highly useful for dry, spasmodic cough that worsens at night or with deep inspiration. Aids in clearing mucus stuck in the trachea or behind the nose and throat. Especially useful after measles, influenza, or whooping cough, where a lingering cough remains. Addresses tickling sensation in the larynx and trachea causing persistent irritation. Sticta pulmonaria soothes dry, raw, inflamed mucous membranes of the respiratory tract (as in clergyman's sore throat). • Coryza, Sinusitis & Hay Fever Manages early symptoms of a cold: heaviness in the forehead, burning eyes, and fullness at the root of the nose. Indicated in hay fever with intense dryness, sneezing fits, and a constant urge to blow the nose with no relief. Helps dissolve thick nasal crusts and dry secretions in atrophic rhinitis. Reduces nasal obstruction and facial pressure, particularly on the right side. • Mental Excitability & Nervous Restlessness Characterized by excessive talkativeness, excitement, and a desire to “fly away” or “float.” Suited for patients who cannot sit still, constantly moving, kicking, or talking. Indicated in states of mental confusion where focus and clarity are difficult. Often used in neurological complaints with physical symptoms, such as chorea or jerky limb movements. • Rheumatism & Joint Inflammation Treats rheumatic pain and swelling in joints, especially shoulders, wrists, knees, and ankles. Pains are severe, drawing, and darting, often migrating across limbs. Aids in Housemaid’s knee and similar joint afflictions with redness, swelling and painful. Symptoms often worsen at night and improve during the day. • Headaches Linked to Catarrhal States Relieves dull, heavy, pressive headaches associated with sinus or nasal issues. Pain may extend deep into the brain, with a sensation as if the skull is being lifted and dropped. Accompanied by burning in the eyes, tightness of the scalp, and nausea. • Digestive and Urinary Involvement Used in morning diarrhea that is profuse and frothy. Addresses acid reflux, rumbling, and dull, burning sensations in the stomach and liver regions. Sticta pulmonaria provides relief from urinary irritation and soreness and aching in the bladder area. Feeling as if the stomach is full of yeast, with a fermenting or rumbling sensation.
